Is the Town of Stoneham going to join the other 125 communities in MA issuing a water ban??? We do not have to have a full water ban, but a partial the same as our surrounding towns. I think of the future of our environment for our grandchildren every time I see my neighbors sprinkler system on 3-4 times a day. Such a waste of a very important resource.

The Department of Public Works does not have authority to issue a water ban.

Town Code Chapter 14 Section 14-2 Restrictions of Water Use outlines the powers / abilities of the Town Administrator regarding water bans.

Issue will be redirected to Board of Selectmen due to current temporary Town Administrator not having access to SeeClickFix.

It's going to be lousy when the Fire Department hooks up to a Hydrant for a House Fire and air comes out. Are green Lawns more important than conserving a natural resource ????????????????????

In times of drought grass is made to go brown and dormant, and then come back stronger than ever when rains does eventually returns. Neighbors who apparently do not know this or care are not really neighbors but islands unto themselves.
