Thanks for sharing all your comments/concerns. We do attempt to double cut the fields, however, with only 23 full time caretakers for 2,200 acres including over 20 playing fields when there is rain the job is nearly impossible to complete, especially as the majority of our fields are within flood plains and stay too wet for machines after any significant rain - we don't want to create ruts. While there are turf options, there is more demand for fields than we can accommodate.
Bill Carone our deputy for maintenance has addressed the incomplete job that was performed by the individual who was assigned to cut and failed to complete the interior of the goals. We do not anticipate that this mistake will ever be repeated.
