Good luck. I have tried in vain to have multiple unregistered vehicles removed from residential properties. Nothing is ever done. I would gladly join with you to have our by-laws enforced. Let's hope this new TA can accomplish this.

FYI that gray truck is registered and insured and I know, bc I pay the bill. The red car just had its plates turned in and it's my neighbor's. So there's your ONE unregistered vehicle. Seriously get a hobby.

I often wondered about the cars parked at the credit union on Pine St. along the wall.

GoBlue, I live in the area regularly walk by these vehicles noticing no plates and flat tires on both vehicles. And are you sure they are actually on your lot because with Washington Court it's hard to tell where the "street" ends and property lines start. Otherwise, the situation certainly shows your pride of ownership!

Well if you'd like to step on our property and walk behind the gray truck you'll see there is a plate attached with current registration sticker. I'll also leave the registration on the dashboard, if that doesn't suffice. The driveway is PRIVATE property although that doesn't stop visitors across the street from using it like its their own. My husband works about 80 hours a week and I'm busy raising a whole bunch of kids who happen to be upstanding members of our community, while volunteering for various things. My priorities are just fine, thanks.

I'm sorry, but vehicles registered in MA are require by law to have plates both front and back, hence the confusion. Yes, I'm sure your priorities are just fine.

Ok seriously golfer6760 do you really have nothing better to do than drive around Stoneham to find stuff to @#$% about.... Half the stuff you put on here doesn't even belong on seeclickfix. I enjoy getting alerts when someone has something to report about the town but lately it's just you with nonsense and I am now considering leaving scf because it's just ridiculous. Not to mention make sure your info is correct before you put a complaint in. The owner just said only 1 car is not registered so no rule breaking at all. So this ended up being a waste of everyone's time involved.

Actually, if you have a green plate only a rear plate is required. But since ours is red, guilty as charged! Front plate is not attached. It's sitting in the vehicle, which really isn't a big deal since the vehicle isn't being driven and in need of repairs. Thank you for misinforming me of the law. I think I'll take a stroll through one of our parks and report back on all the needles and dog waste I find on public property, because those are actually issues worthwhile of seeclickfix.

I got plenty to do. Those vehicles have been sitting there since the snow fall last summer with flat tires. Who's kidding who. I live 3 doors down. So for you residents who could care less if our town codes were enforced feel free to leave the forum. It doesn't hurt my feeling in the least.
It took 3 years to get the unregistered vehicles across Washington Court removed from the lot. The garage they were in fell on the vehicles and stayed like that for years.

Go Blue; why don't you take a little time and clean your unsightly mess on your private property up. Those trash barrels have been full at the other end of your driveway all summer. If you don't want to, could I offer you a home in Somerville maybe?????????????????????????

Jillsy, the bottomline is we have cars parked as they can be, but appearing as they are abandoned on the side of a road. Stoneham is a great area with wonderful location and size, but has a huge inferiority complex when comes to us collectively doing the little things to project town pride. I'm one of those people that always picks up after my dog, and also picks up trash people toss on the roadside. Technically is it my responsibility? No, but turning a blind eye to the trash, weeds, cars on sidewalks and in yards, barking dogs, etc. will only allow things to further affect everyone's quality of life here. Before you respond "Well, if you don't like it, move!" let me tell you I am not leaving. Like I said before, the area is great, it's just disappointing and surprising the resistance to helping on the little things. Thanks for your input!

Actually, they haven't and since there are no code violations, you've decided to try and find something else to complain about. Surprise, surprise. Our trash barrels go out every week, along with 3 recycling barrels.

If you live three doors down, I can't imagine you haven't seen the two dilapidated houses in your direction, one of which is pretty sketchy with its comings and goings. One of them happens to be the house you claim had a garage fall on cars. Not true, they actually hooked a chain to a truck and pulled the garage down. Quite the sight! Looked like the movie Bambi with wildlife scurrying in every direction.

Shout out to SPD for patrolling the speeding on Washington St as well. Thank you for listening to our legitimate concerns.

Yes I seen the SPD sitting on Washington Street. Only cause I've been complaining for months. In reality they should park where the new Stop Sign is toward Elm Street. Most people don't speed going up hill where they are parked.
Yes those houses you mention are a disgrace, but as usual the Town will do nothing. The same as they won't site you for bringing our town to your level. I've taken additional pic's of your vehicles with dates to bring to a Town meeting. Let's see if your so called registered vehicles move anytime soon.

And BS Your Trash has been outside just as it stands for months. I was wondering how you reached the barrels from your kitchen window throwing out your trash. Take a peak some night and watch the Rats congregate around your barrels.

Jilly it's people with your attitude who are ruining this town. I've live in Stoneham for over 30 years and I've been watching it slowly deteriorate. In years past the Stoneham residents had pride in the looks of their home and property. Lately the town is starting to look dumpy. Trash everywhere, a drug problem nobody ever expected in our school system, needles left in the ground by addicts. Washington street has become a cut through race track. Our constant poor attitude causes our town officials & authorities to chase their tails never gaining on the problems in hand wasting our hard earned tax money.
Be a good resident and pick up a piece of trash rather than spread the poor attitude "it's not mine".
So yes I am going to @#$% and complain until changes are made for the better of our community. Instead of sitting on my thumbs and being IMO the problem

You kind of sound like a stalker or a lurker, maybe I should address this with SPD. The only person sinking to some subpar level is you and your creepy behavior.

Why is it any of your concern if/when my vehicles move when they aren't violating any codes? One is registered and one is not.

Your last paragraph makes absolutely no sense. My entire yard is visible from the street, so there's no trash standing for months.

I'm all for cleaning up and improving the appearance of the town that I live in and raise my family in. However; taking a picture of someone's personal home and vehicles to put on public display doesn't seem appropriate to me or a good, motivating way to resolve this issue. Make a general complaint on here and then submit a more detailed complaint to the appropriate department with personal info. Clearly there was no violation with the cars, so now we are talking about their trash? Come up with a suggestion to help bring people together to make a difference not belittle them. Maybe start a town wide clean up day, promote it, encourage homeowners and business owners to do a clean up of their properties, plant, touch up paint, maybe the town dump extends hours and makes some exceptions this day, maybe youth programs could help the sick and elderly with their clean up and they earn community service, etc... Maybe this could be an annual occurrence. I personally know this family and had the opportunity to have them coach my children. You are talking very negatively about a young family that is extremely involved in this community both in youth programs and volunteerism. I'll take the unregistered car for a caring, upstanding family! #takethenegativityelsewhere

It's not stalking GoBlue. I live on Washington Street and every morning when I wake up and look out my living room window my view is your property. Not the view I had years ago. I've watched the view deteriorate slow but sure. It's a crying shame as it drags down the rest of the neighborhood.

Hey Spartangirls; What a novel idea :-) Let's start with convincing individual property owners having some pride in the looks of their property, town and respect for their fellow neighbors.

Golfer6760 I guess your idea is a better one! Take a picture of a families home who is also your neighbor, post it on social media and tear them apart. Your initial complaint of unregistered cars parked for years turned into, trash, personal insults, etc.... Then I click on the next 3 reports and they are all initiated by you! You are going on rants, complaining and offering not one resolution to the matter. Yes, let's cause conflict amongst the town. You are exactly what this town does not need! It's filled with a bunch of complainers that do nothing. Actually when you look most of the big mouths around our town do nothing but stir the pot and cause controversy. Have you ever personally approached your neighbor, called Stop & Shop, wrote a letter to the Summer Street property owner?? I had a similar situation where our neighbors were putting less than eye pleasing items behind their shed which happened to be facing my yard. I approached them kindly and asked if we could think of another idea. Guess what? They apologized, moved the items and we are great neighbors and have become even better friends. But your way is good too.

Thomas Mirisola of 5 Vera Lane, you must have the world's greatest vision if you can see all the way down Washington St from your house. As the previous poster mentioned, you started about two unregistered cars, when that was unfounded, you moved onto trash, which is also unfounded. Would you like me to mail you a copy of the current registration? My husband rolls the barrels out every Thursday morning on his way to work, whether Hiltz decides they're going to pick up or not on that given day. I'll be sure to let you know the next time Hiltz doesn't pick up my trash. Judging by SCF, all residents should report to you. You have taken up more than enough of my time. Keep spewing your negativity on here and the numerous other posts you have initiated, while the rest of us make memories and do things this summer.

Mike, it's my neigbor's. Vehicle is in decent shape, but I believe it needs head gaskets.

Golfer is quite the character. While I agreed the yard doesn't look all that great, having neighbors with different priorities is is unfortunately part of having neighbors. Goblue has clearly done nothing wrong here.

As for the deterioration of the residential properties... I blame that on some of the highest taxes in the area. Maybe if people didn't have their taxes going up every year, they could catch up a bit and have some money left over for yard work.

Washington street is no race track. It is a main road. The assumed residential speed limit of 35 is fine and last time I checked, there are not constant accidents.

Overall it sounds like you need to dive deeper into the towns problems. Would be great if you could focus your efforts on uncovering where our tax dollars are going.
