We've discussed trash in the streets, play yards & schools but never mention personal properties. Today I took a detour during my morning walk and walked up Mt Vernon for the first time in years. OMG you MUST look at these two properties. Imagine either of them your next door neighbor????. The Pool in back is empty in #6 from what I could see from the street. The house looks like it was never painted. #8 was just as bad. These two neighbors having a "Make it look disgusting contest" or are they owned by the same person. Let's get together and make the town look better for everyone's benefit. I could imagine all the rodents living inside.

There have been no complaints regarding rodents or vermin at the listed address or in the general vicinity of that area. Private property is not subject to State Sanitary Code jurisdiction unless there is a direct and imminent threat to the health of the general public, and there are no regulations that pertain to the aesthetic appearance of private property, nor will any be drafted.
