last summer new traffic controls went up at lake Shore Blvd. and Stadium Road. They were there to restrict left- and right- turns made from Lake Shore to Stadium Road between the times of 7 to 9 AM and 4 to 6 PM each day. The main reason was to restrict this traffic due to the community school at Bathurst and Queen's Quay.
The police have been on duty in the mornings more often than not but I have yet to see any police presence in the afternoon stopping drivers from turning left from Stadium to Lake Shore. I think the afternoon is the more dangerous time. Why are the police not doing their job? Could it be the same reason they are not policing illegal left turns from lake Shore and Bathurst onto Fleet St.?
How can we, the public get some action for our complaints?
I first reported the failure at Fleet last August. Now we have another failure. Still, no one seems to care.
