What's up with the Perri Sausage billboard. You can't tell me they can't afford to fix their sign. It's not even legible anymore. Does someone know someone who can put some pressure on Perri to fix this eyesore? They're a part of the community.

20-24 Fort Hale Park Road New Haven, CT - East Shore
There is a hole here that is about 18 inches wide by about three inches deep.
  • 34 Gerrish Avenue East Haven, CT - East Haven
I think there is a missing stop sign here.
  • 764 Campbell Ave. West Haven, CT - West Haven
There are several pot holes in this location. One is just south of Campbell Plaza. The other one is closer to the intersection. I'm sure they wouldn't be hard for a road crew to spot.
  • West Haven City Hall West Haven, CT - West Haven
There is a stairwell behind West Haven City Hall and the entire bottom of this stairwell is filled with standing water -- a definite health hazard. I was amazed at how much water is there. A mosquito breeding ground in the making for sure.
  • 589 Campbell Ave. West Haven, CT - West Haven
There is a pot hole in this parking lot the size of a small car. The tellers say "the PO knows about it." and that's all. It's been there for months and it's not getting any smaller. It could do some serious damage to a rim (car or bicycle or motorcycle) and could probably cause some serious injuries if a motorcyclist were to hit it. They'd probably fall in the damm thing it's so big. Why isn't the PO required to take care of something like this?

This has started again. They seemed to have fixed it twice but now it has been beeping for more than a month and I've called four times total about this smoke alarm. There is an apartment on the third floor of this building on the courtyard side where my apt. is next door. The windows are wide open the the occupants are apparently gone for the summer. The management (AJ Enterprises) seems to be refusing to fix it and it's annoying as hell. We have old windows and I can hear the beeping as much as I can hear the birds, car doors and garbage trucks. It's annoying as hell and I taking out my rocket launcher and putting an end to it for good. If only I had a rocket launcher.

There is a smoke detector in the building that needs a new battery and all the neighbors have to listen to it beep intermittently until either someone moves in, or someone comes back from vacation or until someone just decides to change the battery. I can't sleep with my windows open and I can hardly live with my windows open with this beautiful weather we're having. I called the management company -- AJ Enterprises -- this evening. Hopefully they can come out and find this darn smoke detector that is about to drive me insane. I can't believe the neighbors aren't out there screaming for someone to fix it. How annoying.

  • W Main St Branford, CT - Branford
I think it is just wrong that the main road is stopped more often than the side road is for the shopping center here. I've been driving this way for about 7 months now and I've gotten this light green about two times and that is not an exaggeration.
  • Campbell Ave West Haven, CT - West Haven
I pulled over before pulling into the drive-through and there is about a 5-foot wide hole in the road and it is quite deep.
  • Branford Trolley Trail Branford, CT - Branford
The rope railings that were part of the Trolley Trail have been damaged by the storms -- Irene and Alfred. There are about 100 4x4s with two 5-inch U-bolts through each one (with a plastic sheathing on the exposed 'U" portion to protect the ropes from thread wear) that hold the ropes in place. I'm not sure how long the ropes are, but there are probably four sections of rope -- two going east toward Branford, and two going west toward Stony Creek. I wonder if anyone is working on getting this fixed.
  • 90 Bishop St. New Haven, ct - Bishop-Hine
There is at least one tow truck that absolutely FLIES up Bishop Street, probably in excess of 50mph. Granted, cars go up and down the street that fast, or faster, regularly, but aren't these guys contracted out by the city? The streets are wet today, which makes it even more treacherous.
  • 99 Bishop St. New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Bishop-Hine
I just witness three tow trucks in a row driving up Bishop toward Orange St. traveling AT LEAST 50 m.p.h. This is a 25 m.p.h. street and these tow trucks, which are undoubtedly being contracted by the city to two vehicles for street cleaning on this street and others today, should be ticketed. Everyday I see vehicles traveling at excessive rates of speed up this street. I have lived here for two years and not once have I seen a traffic officer with a speed gun on this street.
  • 150 Bishop St. New Haven, CT - Bishop-Hine

The intersection at Bishop and Orange needs a traffic light before someone gets killed there. I'm a careful driver and I've had close calls with pedestrians and I've seen other automobile drivers have close calls with pedestrians here as well.

People drive up Bishop at excessive rates of speed (which is an issue unto itself) and they expect to zip through the intersection and someone is going to end up being mowed down here. It's just a matter of time.

A traffic light with ped xing would greatly postpone that tragedy.

  • 34 Franklin St New Haven, CT 06511 - Wooster Square
There is a hole in the road here traveling south on Franklin enough to dent a tire or take a wheel cover off. I've hit it it a few times because it's very hard to see. It's a doozy and for those of us who need to avoid the ridiculous 91/S-95 situation, it's a drag.
  • 513 Sargent Dr New Haven, CT 06511 - Long Wharf
The arrows on the sign don't match the arrows painted on the road. Approaching from Long Wharf, what lane do I get in to go to Ikea? The sign with arrows doesn't match the arrows painted in the road.
  • 100 Bishop St. New Haven, CT 06511 - Bishop-Hine
It looks like they did some plumbing work in the road and the blacktop they used to fill it in is sinking deeper everyday. My whole building shakes when trucks run over this thing which is just down the road toward State St. from the large brick apt building near 100 Bishop St.
  • 103 Bishop St New Haven, CT 06511 - Bishop-Hine
I often see, or hear, the big blue and white Yale school bus flying up Bishop Street with the pedal to the medal. The bus screams by, both in speed and sound, revving its engine flying up to Orange Street as if it was heading to YNHH with someone in labor. If a child or person who'd been drinking too much happened to wander into the road, ferget it! Two points for that driver. I tried to tell a cop who was parked on Bishop when I got home tonight, but no one was in the cruiser at the time. I think NHPD oughta park themselves with a speed detector and ticket whoever's racing up and down our streets.
  • 103 Sawmill Rd West Haven, CT 06516 - West Haven
This light is set wrong. It's green more often for Railroad Avenue than it is for the main throughfare of Saw Mill Road. The light should be green more often for the main drag than it is for the secondary street.
  • 671 State St New Haven, CT 06511 - Downtown
there is a manhole cover on the north-bound side of state street, about across from cafe 9 that is at least four inches deep if not six in spots.
