Inadequate bicycle parking ArchivedSellers Ave Lansing, MI 48912, USA - LansingInadequate bicycle parking at Panera in Frandor. The only bike rack was full, had to lock our bicycles to an outdoor patio chair. Spoke with general manager who said they can't do anything and that Video To Go had a bike rack. Made note to manager that I was patronizing Panera not Video To Go. Note: Video To Go is across the parking lot and street with inadequate bicycle parking as well in addition to unsafe pedestrian crossing to get from there to Panera.

Broken Glass in Bike Lane Archived1300 1446 E Kalamazoo St Lansing, MI 48912, USA - Lansing
Somebody broke a glass bottle all across the freshly sweeped bike lane on the north side of the Kalamazoo St. just past the apartment complex.
As a major E/W bicycle commuter route, I hope the City is able to clean this up asap.
Thanks!

Debris in Kzoo Bike Lane Archived1228 E Kalamazoo St Lansing, MI - LansingThe Kalamazoo St. bike lane is full of gravel, glass and broken car parts ever since the snow melt. I imagine the rest of Lansing's bike lanes are in a similar state. Scheduling bike lane sweepings immediately following the last snow melt will improve safety and encourage more bicycle commuting.

Bike Lane Never Repainted ArchivedKalamazoo St (Between Penn & Holmes) - LansingThe City never repainted the bike lane after repaving the section of Kzoo between Penn & Holmes St. We gained a nice smooth surface but lost one of Lansing's few designated biking facilities.

Bike Lane Ends Archived711 E Kalamazoo St Lansing, MI 48912 - Lansing
The bike lane on Kalamazoo Street in downtown Lansing is great until it abruptly ends at the railroad tracks, thus shooting you back out into the right hand turn lane one block up. Additionally, the next intersection is a poorly marked access point to the Lansing River Trail.
Sure would be nice to finish striping this bike lane all the way into the downtown business district and connect it with the River Trail.
