Beschreibung

The sewer grating at King and Bay has a date of 1889 printed on it. It is the oldest one I know of in the city. It is in serious need of repair and is a public hazard. I want to make sure that the repair gets done in a way that preserves this historic artifact.

There are actually hundreds of these 1889 grates in the City - they must have gone on a buying binge that year .Most are in the older parts of the downtown. I actually reported this problem to 311 several weeks ago and they said 'it's on our list for 2013".
