I wish we could remove the median in the center of Rock Prairie as you head west on Rock Prairie Rd. toward Wellborn Rd. Then we could create a longer and maybe double turn lane for going south at the light. Not being able to take advantage of the left turn arrow because you cant enter the turn lane for all of the traffic crossing Wellborn Rd. seems like a big part of the bottle neck during this time.

The City Traffic Engineer replied that there is an improvement project that is waiting for approval from Union Pacific that will widen the railroad crossing and increase the capacity across the tracks.
