The pedestrian bridge is absolutely DISGUSTING with broken glass today. It's shameful and dangerous, and obviously none of the watch groups have addressed this yet.

If you click on the 'Hybrid' option on the map, you will see the pedestrian bridge that spans the Mass turnpike in the top middle of the map view. People walk across this bridge every day - mothers with strollers and toddlers, people pushing bikes. Hipsters in flip-flops. Right now it looks like the recycling bin of a frat house - broken bottles everywhere.

The bridge got cleaned last night! It already has a couple of discarded scratch tickets blowing around on it, but no glass. I'd love to see this as the beginning of a new trend!

the glass is back. I suppose underage hipsters will be underage hipsters. What we need is for DPW workers to be DPW workers, here, every day. Sorry if it's a lot to ask, but it's definitely necessary, if you don't want Alston looking like a trash pit.

this bridge was cleaned on Monday. By tuesday it was full of trash again. Maybe a trash bin and recycling bin would be useful at each end of this bridge?

Calling the Allston DPW today to find out exactly who is responsible for this, and then ratting them out to their superiors.

Still no movement on this.

Next time this is an issue, 617-951-6200, District Six will take care of it.

District 6 is now saying this bridge belongs to the city. Looks like nobody wants to take responsibility for cleaning it.

After much research, it has been determined that the City of Boston is responsible for cleaning up this pedestrian bridge. No wonder it is covered with waves of spilled house paint, refuse, broken glass and drug paraphernalia.

Still having a problem keeping this walkway clean of glass, trash, and yes even human feces.

Today the ped bridge has a melted half-gallon of Neopolitan ice cream and three full maki rolls scattered across it, along with the usual broken beer bottles and empty juice bottles. I witnessed someone from MassDot 'cleaning' the bridge last week. He missed the sides, and most of the glass was left behind.

Pathetic.
