Electric company and crews have wrecked the neighborhood streets and drainage - ongoing issue since March of this year without notification or compensation for noise violations and street blockage. Someone needs to pay for this damage, repair and return the neighborhood back to its original quiet, well maintained state.

This has also resulted in loss of use and loss of home values.

I agree with everything that's been said. I live on Bay Oaks as well. Besides the noise and drainage issues that have been caused along the easement - people's homes. Center Point, the City of Houston, ALL who have been involved in the project have done a horrible job communicating with the community, as well as the adverse affects it's had on the neighborhood! The heavy trucks and oversized equipment have done damage to our streets. Some of the streets that have been abused the most are Bay Oaks, 12th through Woodhill, Wynnwood, Prince, and back to 14th. I've noticed actual stress damage that have been done to our streets due to these trucks (cement trucks for one) The City of Houston needs to inspect and address these issues as well. On one night, to pour just one base for these VERY unsightly electric poles, cement trucks were going all night long - backed up down Bay Oaks just waiting in line for there turn there to dump and go.

I don't think I could put into words the loss of value that this has caused to our homes. If I lived on 12th Street I would be beyond furious if one of these huge poles - with a cement base as wide as a car was placed next to my house. And some of these posts that they put up are now being ripped out and replaced by even larger ones - we've been told the smaller of the two were placed in the wrong spot! A wide Utility easement is just that, they are made to accommodate larger than normal electricity lines and posts, but certainly not right on the side of someone's house. In all manners I have a hard time believing that this would be legal - I'm not an attorney, but I think I would be talking to one! If anyone of these huge posts ever come down, anyone two streets over could have one in the middle of there house! I'm sure from an engineering perspective they have been designed to withstand just about anything! Drones beware! Have you ever noticed the size of the electricity lines that run across open farm land in the country - these don't look that much smaller - if they are? I understand improvement has to be done to our infrastructure, but the way it's been done is unsightly and damaging to our neighborhoods, all the way through the Heights! I hope the developers for this project have taken into account the health hazards of people living close to electrical lines can cause!

And to think, we can't even get The City of Houston to put a 4 way stop sign at the intersection of 12th to Woodhill and Bay Oaks! The least they could do is post a speed limit sign and/or attach a cross traffic sign like they did on 14th! Whole other issue - just get tired of paying more and more property taxes to watch some of our neighborhoods to loose what they are intended to do - improve our city!
