Description
Every time there is a rain, lots of mud/dirt is dragged out from the unpaved lot of All American Stone & Turn along Texas Ave/ SH-6 frontage road. You can see the dirt spread at least 100 ft (sometimes a few hundreds feet) along the road.
There are three major problems with that:
1. It creates a safety hazard: changes traction on the pavement, making it slippery, as well as creating uneven traction.
2. It makes street (and cars running on it) dirty.
3. I am not sure if AAST has its own (or pays for) street cleaning operation, but I suspect that it is a waste of city resources - taxpayer's money for the private benefit. AAST must pave their lot.
When it is dry and very windy, the gust winds create dust clouds on that road, which is also a safety hazard (and also spreading dirt that needs to be cleaned by the city)
Look at the street pavement -- most of the time it is dirty in that area. And even if it has been dry for a while, you can see dirt accumulating along the side curb for a few 100s of feet along that frontage road, - in the amount that are much greater than elsewhere.

All American Stone and Turf has a recently approved Site Plan which will pave a portion of the driveway and a parking area. The design also calls for a cattle guard type exit that will knock dirt off tires before leaving the site.” Construction will begin in the near future.
The business has been asked to sweep and provide a schedule or plan for keeping the road clean until their cattle guard project is complete.
