Frontage Rd East (northbound) / Hwy 6 - Last night (June 7), there were lots of loose gravel spilled on a portion of the frontage road just north of the intersection with Rock Prairie Rd, at the level of the small plaza with Starbucks and Luigi's restaurant.
It looks like a dump truck with those lost a portion of its load there, or something like that. (I wonder if those came from the contractor working on the road repair in Woodcreek subdivision?)

These rocks force cars to swerve, break, etc., creating unsafe situation.
They are also a hazard for windshields.

Please, have this road cleaned up.

At the early voting place (CS Utilities Service building on Graham Rd.), this morning, one early voting staff person did not wear a face mask or covering. (That's a senior gentleman who works there every or almost every election. He was the only male staff present at that point.)

There is a road construction going on and off for many weeks on Faulkner Dr. (It's slowly moving from Woodcreek Dr. toward Frost Dr.).

This has created numerous problems in the area, most, if not all due to the lack of diligence on the construction crew.
    1. First, for many weeks there were loose gravel and debris on Woodcreek Dr., several hundred yards (all the way to Waterford Dr.) from the actual construction site. So, as you drive on Woodcreek, you get all that garbage beating on the bottom of the car.
To be fair, they did clean up at the end of the day, but driving day time was like driving through a construction site, even though it was some 3 blocks away.

    2. They do not post signs that the road is close (and at times it is effectively closed).
E.g. today, I was driving from Woodcreek Dr. toward Frost Dr., and the crew was working between Finney Cir and Frost Dr. One have of the pavement was lifted and blocked by the crew and the machinery, while the other half was freshly laid, and still sticky. One of the crew members was some 50-70 ft. in front of the site, giving gestures to slow down.
He directed me to drive through that still sticky pavement. I just had new tires installed 3 days ago, and I that staff ruins tires. I had to drive back to Stonebrook Dr., Rock Prairie Rd. and back to Bird Pond Rd.
Because of that, my kid was late for the sports class.

    3. This construction has been going for enormous amount of time. The heavy machinery is coming all the time and they are not always the most courteous or careful. E.g. this morning, I had a dump truck that was tailgating my car, while I was driving on Woodcreek Dr. at the speed limit (30 mph).

    4. Further down, the pavement was removed from Frost Dr. (between Faulkner and Bird Pond Dr.) and no work was going there for weeks.

    Could you please,
    a) make sure that there is a proper signage and diversion of traffic when the work is in effect, and improve overall safety
    b) post the period of the road work so that people are aware (how many months?)
    c) complete the work on Frost Dr. ASAP?

A broken (but not separated) tree brunch is hanging over the roadway (on the right side of south-west bound lane).
Even if it doesn't fall on a car, it can block the roadway, which would be especially dangerous if it happens during night time.

The location is on Bird Pond Rd., very close to the border between the county and city maintenance.

The two streets along Thomas Park (South of Francis Dr.), Puryear Dr. and
James Pkwy, are one big pothole, especially Puryear Dr.
Driving along Puryear Dr. is rather dreadful, especially at the intersection with Francis Dr. (South side of it).

It's especially pity that there were crews working in the area, just 2-3 blocks away, not that long ago, if I remember correctly
I hope CS City works has plans for fixing roads in this area.

    Thank you!

Right in front of the USDA building, there is a recent but very rapidly growing pothole in the middle of the street roadway: the pavement continues crumbling from the sides of it.
I think, if fixed quickly, this pothole might be prevented from growing in a much bigger problem.

There is an ongoing construction of the new BMW-Mercedes car dealership here. During the daytime, because of the construction of the turning/entrance lane, one of the two existing lanes is partially blocked by the traffic safety cones.

The problem is that the placement of these safety cones is rather ambiguous: it is not clear if this (right-hand-side) lane is closed or not:
There are no signs preceding the area that would indicate that the lane is closed.
The cones are on the side of this lane, but they "indent" into the lane itself significantly enought to prevent cars (and especially wider trucks) from traveling safely in this lane, without "spilling over" into the second lane. This creates an unsafe situation when cars/trucks from this RHS lane effectively drive between the lanes, meandering in front of
the cars from the other lane.

It would be great if the construction managers would make-up their mind and either close this lane completely, adding the necessary signs upstream, or would refrain from placing the safety cones this deep into the lane.

Quickly growing potholes and cracks in the pavement on the exit ramp from Hwy-6.

This is a very recent development: the pavement started cracking and developing potholes along large portion of the exit (elevated) ramp from Hwy-6 at Rock-Prairie-Rd exit (Southbound).

I suspect this could be under the "jurisdiction" of TX-DoT. If that's the case, please pass this information to the relevant service organization/department.

    Thank you!

  • 1520 Rock Prairie Road College Station, Texas - College Station

There are potholes left at the entrance to Bachmann Park (near Cindy Hallaran pool) after the recent repavement of Rock Prairie Rd.
After stripping the pavement on Rock Prairie Rd., they created potholes on the side of the pavement, where cars enter and exit the parking for the pool and Southwood Community Center. When they repaved Rock Prairie Rd., they haven't patched the junction of the new pavement with that of the park entrance. A similar (albeit possibly less severe) situation exists at the junction with other park entrances and driveways in the area. This one is the most severe.

They need to go back and finish their job - to have it done properly.

  • Wellborn Road College Station, Texas - Code Enforcement Zone 1

When you are driving southbound on Wellborn Dr. (aka FM2154) and you are trying to take FM-2818, there are no signs for which exit for which direction on FM-2818.

This is the issue that is present for many years, - ever since that intersection has been completed. It is a complicated intersection with high speeds, and there are no signs in advance of the intersection as for which exit/turn should be taken for which direction.

I suspect that it might be in the realm of TX-DOT, but I hope the City services can pass this information to the relevant organization.

  • 1854 Anderson Street College Station, Texas - South Knoll Neighborhood Plan
There is damaged pavement (huge potholes) near the entrance to the parking lot loop of Adamson Lagoon pool.
Besides being hard on the cars, this is also a safety concern: the cars have to swirl to avoid getting into potholes which make the movement less predictable and distracts driver's attention, and there are lots of kids getting to and from the pool.
  • 2800 Brothers Boulevard College Station, Texas - Central College Station

The pavement is crumbled on the south side of the intersection of Brothers Blvd. with Deacon Dr. (Southbound).
As a result, when you are crossing Deacon Dr., you have to watch to avoid getting in a pothole and damaging your suspension, and this is where kids are crossing the road, etc.
As a result, it is also a safety issue.

This issue had been reported and fixed in September of 2017, but the fix was of a Mickey Mouse type. Soon after, it started crumbling, and in the past two months it became worse than how it was back in September.

When it is windy, All American Stone & Turf produces huge dust clouds covering Texas 6 Frontage Rd. near the intersection with Deacon and entrance to the freeway.
This creates driving hazard on this busy road, and the spot known for many accidents (see the photo of dust clouds attached - it was taken on January 23, 2017 at 5:47pm).

All American Stone & Turf has been the source of dust and dirt on Texas 6 Frontage Rd. for ages.
It was reported on multiple occasions here:
    https://seeclickfix.com/issues/1561303
    https://seeclickfix.com/issues/1589631

There were earlier (2015-03-31) promises ( http://seeclickfix.com/issues/1561303 ) from the Planning Services: From Planning:" "All American Stone and Turf has a recently approved Site Plan which will pave a portion of the driveway and a parking area. The design also calls for a cattle guard type exit that will knock dirt off tires before leaving the site.” Construction will begin in the near future. "

While some paving was probably done (I haven't seen as much mud spilling onto the road), but it is evidently not sufficient.

  • 1800-1826 Deacon Drive College Station, Texas - Central College Station

When one is driving on Deacon Dr., crossing Longmire Dr. is a challenge: the roadside ditch that goes on the side of Longmire Dr. used to divert rainwater from the intersection is too deep. As a result, unless you almost stop, you are risking scraping the pavement with the bottom of your vehicle, especially if you are driving a regular passenger sedan.
You can see the traces of repeated scraping of the pavement on both sides of the intersection.

The fact that vehicles have to virtually stop at the intersection creates a dangerous situation (my car was almost rear-ended on numerous occasions), and adds to the congestion at this busy intersection during the "rush" hours. It works as an inverted speed-bump, only that it actually damages your car's bottom.

Please, fix this problem by improving the implementation of these rainwater "ditches".

This issue has been reported 3.5 months ago, but was "forwarded to Public Works", where it apparently died without any followup. Could you please ensure that the issue is not dropped?!

  • 1822-1858 Rock Prairie Road College Station Texas - College Station

There is a dangerous pothole that is right at the entrance to the intersection in the pathway of the right wheels.
And this is in the place that is already bottlenecked to a crawl by the closure of the lanes.
It causes drivers swirling out of the only lane, which creates dangerous situations, slows traffic, and creates a high potential for severe damage to the car (if the tire gets into the pothole).

This pothole had been reported previously. It was reported to CIP, but apparently not to City's Streets and Drainage Division, as most of other potholes reported here. Regardless of to which division it needs to be reported, - time has passed, and the pothole is still not fixed.
Can something be actually DONE about it, please?

When one is driving on Deacon Dr., crossing Longmire Dr. is a challenge: the roadside ditch that goes on the side of Longmire Dr. used to divert rainwater from the intersection is too deep. As a result, unless you practically stop to a zero speed, you are risking scraping the pavement with the bottom of your vehicle, especially if you are driving a regular passenger sedan and not a high-profile SUV or truck.
You can see the traces of repeated scraping of the pavement on both sides of the intersection.
