Yes this does need to happen. I reported this exact same thing in March after I got in an accident here. UDOT just closed the issue. This intersection was very poorly planned.

We just moved here and agree this intersection is a huge safety issue. During any high times of traffic, it is nearly impossible to turn left heading north due to the high traffic patterns. As stated, the speed limit for those passing this intersection and continuing south is fairly higher than posted and makes it so dangerous to exit. He hill before this turn makes it extremely hard to see oncoming vehicles and they also do not see us until it is too late to slow down.
As a resident of this city and this subdivision, this traffic light would be so important and beneficial to the community. This area is growing fast and the number of drivers passing this specific intersection is growing and so is their speed.
Please don't wait to address this after one of us have lost someone due to this poor intersection. The street of Redwood road is also not wide enough to make any corrections or adjustments if necessary when quick cars are approaching.
Please truly look into this intersection. Even if just one life is saved by fixing this-it would be well worth it. It could be any of us! Turning left from Ring onto Redwood is difficult, scary sometimes and really needs a light.
I know not everyone will agree- especially those who live South of this intersection, but it is obviously because they don't have to try and exit safely from our subdivision. in my experience so far, this stop light is not an IF situation... It's a WHEN! It is needed NOW.

This is a very scary intersection. I have seen some close calls here. It is very hard to turn left because of a hill just north of the intersection and it is hard to judge how fast the traffic is coming from the south because many drive above the speed limit. There is no "suicide" lane to turn into. I live in this subdivision and want the safety of a traffic light here.

I have been in a near crash here already and have only lived in the area for 2 months. The south bound right turn lane causes a blind spot, that will hide the car driving straight when someone is in the right turn lane. I proceeded to enter the north bound lane from ring road only to find a car headed right at me. I braked and they braked and turned into me only to correct there actions and continue straight.

This area needs to be remedied.

Yes! I'm adding my vote. The rise in the hill driving south on Redwood works like an illusion,many cars look like they're going slower than they actually are. Turning Northbound from Ring Rd onto Redwood can take forever during high traffic times. It feels very dangerous.

This subject keeps getting brought up, looked at, and closed. The intersection is very dangerous and I have seen some bad accidents there. Please take this seriously from the people who live here before someone looses their life.

This has been opened and then disregarded. Please look into this. Not only is it a dangerous intersection due to the lack of visibility from the hill, it is the only intersection in Saratoga that i am aware of that does not have a north bound left turn lane. We saw another injurty accident this past week. Please take the time to do a study. With school starting in 3 weeks, this is going to become critical with the additional busses and high schoolers going to school during rush hour. It was bad at the end of the school year and there have been 20 +homes completed during the summer in the developments that use this road as the egress degress only adding to the traffic and congestion and risk.

If a signal is warranted (a legislative requirement) at this location it could be installed during the construction of the project.
