Report of inoperable vehicle Archived6817 Hazen St Houston, TX, 77074, USA - BellaireThe 6817 Hazen owners requested Rodriguez Towing dump a Red HHR suv (license KDL 5590) in front of their next door neighbors house. Rodriguez Towing obviously had been told to dump the car where it didn't belong but the tow truck driver decided not to do it once the neighbors started to photograph him. He finally did choose to move the inoperable vehicle, the Red HHR suv, in front of the appropriate house at 6817 Hazen, after going to the front door of 6817 Hazen and being told not to park it on their driveway, but on the street. The inoperable vehicle, the Red HHR suv, license KDL 5590 remains parked on the street. Sometimes parked behind it, on the street, is a light silver Toyota Camry with no license plates, no paper plates, nothing. 6817 Hazen is associated with both vehicles.

Nuisance On Property Acknowledged6817 Hazen St Houston, TX, 77074, USA - Bellaire6817 Hazen business truck parked on next door neighbor's yard is a nuisance.
When contacted about parking requirements for this business, city councilman Edward Pollard's office chose an ineffective solution, to call in the HPD. In good faith, we took it at face value, reported all relevant facts. But since this was not a photo op with a news crew, all the city officials did nothing to solve our problems arising from the many businesses including the one at 6817, the one next door to that, the one across the street from that. All of which are running machine shops off and on, the whole nine yards, out of residences. No one's asking for a perfect little utopia, just basic home living, free of business vehicles parked all up in your face.
The Sharpstown Civic Association (SCA) when contacted, consistently refuses to uphold protections for residents in favor of businesses. The SCA's new business slogan: people have a right to make a living. Which of course is a catchy phrase being used to insulate every developer & business partnership who want to get around parking requirements for businesses. They rent to or place these business outposts in cheap residential houses. These are not mom-and-pop operations. These businesses need to follow COH business parking requirements. But to do that, the SCA and the city councilman need to openly admit that their primary focus is supporting businesses and advocating for turning residential deed restricted property into commercial, mixed-use residential, and multi-family property. It's cheating by a group that once decades ago protected its people, but now rides roughshod over them in a bid for gentrification to favor business interests. It's another get rich scheme to rob the elderly, the easy marks. Not to share the profits, to rob.
