This bicycle rack was temporarily placed outside Edgerton Park for the CT Folk Festival. Please remove it. Cyclists don’t use it (they are free to more securely leave their bikes within the park) and it creates a problem for people attempting to exit the passenger side of vehicles parked on the street.

Door dumped on roadside. It’s not from Edgerton Park, so it’s a Town of Hamden issue.

Soup Girl customers frequently park illegally on Whitney Avenue in front of the store. Need improved signage (and traffic enforcement) to prevent this safety hazard.

Tree across from 130 Clifford Street is severely rotted. One of the two main branches is half-gone and falling down in chunks. There’s about 12’ that has yet to fall, hopefully not all at once. It’s a real safety hazard.
  • 1226 Whitney Ave Hamden, CT, 06517, USA - Hamden
The town removed dead trees along Whitney Avenue several years ago, but has not removed the stumps, which are a tripping hazard.

There is a big hole in the sidewalk in Edgerton Park, just south of the fountain. It’s been there forever, but is getting bigger. With all the use that the park is getting these days and with all the children playing there, it’s about time that someone fixed it. I don’t know how much it will cost to fix, but it has to be less than the lawsuit that will ensue when someone’s kid fall into a 4 foot hole.

Traffic speed monitor on Mather St, east of Waite, needs to be recalibrated. Currently displays speeds approximately 15 mph over actual speeds.
