Description
Well, as expected that was short lived, tents in the park. They are back again, 4, maybe 5 as of 11:15am, 2/28/2022. These are INSIDE the park, next to the dog park, N of the fence. So I suspect it'll take 2 weeks+ to notify the vagrants of what they already know as they are moved out monthly. Then 72 hrs more for them to move, then the 2 day cleanup taxpayers pay for, they'll watch from the sidelines, then they'll be back again the next day and the cycle starts over again... LETS GO KELLER!!! :)
FWIW, they're camping under the I-40 walkover bridge again and are also in the small triangle of land between the skate park and the Lomas overpass, and of course all over Wyoming & I-40 too.

I give money to one of the local shelters, but it stills bothers me that they are breaking the law.
Sleeping in the park, drinking alcoholic beverages and urinating in public is a crime.
The homeless are unfortunate for all of us, but these ones at Los Altos CHOOSE to stay there, they should be in a city shelter but decline. So let’s not support this type of behavior.
Some people that pay taxes want and need our parks back, they are being squatters.
Remember this is a city park!
I’m going to continue complaining to the city and I’m not giving these ones a dime or a bottle water.

Meanwhile back at the old Bar-S where vagrants have hijacked a public Park (Los Altos, aka Keller Kampground) it is obvious that the Mayor is not going to address the issue. Were he to, and were the ACLU the issue he'd have said something by now to clear up his stance. Since he has not (crickets) one must assume that he condones this behavior by the vagrants. I am pleased that my Councilor (D9) is working on the homeless aspect of this for those who are truly homeless (families etc). Can't say for the D7 Councilor who's District the Kampground actually falls in but... Lest we forget the residents of the general area which falls in both Dist's. Lets hope she too is aware of the issue and is willing to speak to it at some point.
This is an issue that is not going to go away and needs to be addressed. The longer we do nothing the more we encourage the Kampground and all the illegal activity that takes place there and in the surrounding neighborhoods.
