Thank you for reaching out. Most of the issues that come to this account are re-routed to the appropriate department for response. If there is something that you need a response on and haven't received one please advise.

There are numerous issues that state " Albany, NY assigned this issue to City of Albany Admin 3" and after that nothing. The issues are not being re-routed to departments. They sit in lingo.

I am having the same problem . Asked that my lawn be repaired after the snow plus dug up the corner of my yard. Asked more then once and no response.
The city doesn’t take card of it’s residents the way they used to. Now that I am a senior citizen, They abandoned me!!

I have the same problem with APD Traffic and the one that I submitted about APD Traffic not responding was assigned to City Of Albany Admin 3 and has not been responded to in over a month.

As an example, 9875906 has been sitting in the Admin queue since 05/07/2021

Sandra Thompson, that is a Department of General Services issue and it was re-routed to that department for response. We will follow up with them to ensure that someone reaches out to you.

Rshafer, the only detail provided in issue #9875906 is: "Not sure where this goes: I've filed two requests that have been routed to apd traffic control and neither has been acted upon." If you elaborate on the issue, we can connect with APD to provide a response.

The two tickets that remain unanswered in APD are: 877824, the other one I can't find the number for but, it was concerning the turning lane on Morton Avenue and Oneida Terrace as the turning arrow that was on the road has faded and it's causing confusion as to who has the right of way.

The city has a terrible system for assigning and then following all the way through on seeclickfix situations. The majority of posts seem to fall through the cracks or someone sends the exact same automated message each time and closes cases without ever addressing them.

In general, I've had a really good experience in the issues I've submitted to SeeClickFix. I submitted one about the tree in front of my house and the tree was removed and the stump ground down probably within a month. I think it depends on where it's going, just my opinion.

The system would work except for that there is no accountability. Ignored issues and lame responses are too common. DGS is probably the worst offenders. They ignore serious issues, such as crosswalks buried in snow for weeks and I have never gotten one of those type issues actually fixed. A lot of responses months later claiming the issues were fixed. Well after several or more 50-60 degree days and inches of rainfall… I saw many of those after the warm weather hit. Last year as well. Some of those I know were never dealt with despite multiple complaints. Also serious sanitation issues that take dozens of complaints and a lot of noise to get any action. But at least on here people can see how things are ignored when people follow up.
