Quinnipiac
I am a native to Quinnipiac Avenue, born and raise. Out of my 42 years of living on this avenue, and throughout the whole New Haven has ever seen a sidewalk that has been taken over by all sort of weed that a path has been made in the grass because the sidewalk can be seen. I have submitted concerns about the thickets going up into Hidden Quarry’s covering the sidewalk that the has been addressed and thank you. I even went as far as to make mention of potholes and trash alongside where the thicket was removed which has now brought the attraction of coyotes! As my appreciation is felt for the thicket having had been removed, I took on purchasing with my personal money and labor into an area that has so much provisional oversight financially and a workforce municipally to address these concerns that I shared my expenses as a thank you for meeting one of my three concerns and now here is a fourth. By this yellow shovel in the picture there is about 25 yards + of a completely covered side walk alongside this Complex’s wall to the right of the entry driveway into Hidden Quarry. My expenses can cover but so much and I used 40 contractor bags just along that driveway and small 5 of those forty bags to uncover the unbelievable weed coverage over this side walk. This side walk should be extended to eastern street considering how much development has been invested into this side of the neighborhood and all the subsequent developments that had been built on route 80 that is responsible for the significant amount a commercial trash debris from these local stores created. I have maxed out my expenses for the week over these details shared and just trying to make a difference for safe travels of those in our community especially considering it hasn’t gone downhill like this until the Housing Development has gotten built into the private complex that no other town wants built in their own, so let’s should why the city of New Haven can accept their own and can micromanage it appropriately!
