    Sinking pavement.
A not the best repair to a sink hole two years ago is causing to pavement to sink again. With the weight of garbage trucks and so forth, the poor substrate is compacting and the asphalt is cracking and compressing.
    Needs to be properly repaired.

The issue is the pavement at some time in the past few weeks had been ground up at this intersection and left loose with out any warning signs or cones alerting motorcyclists in particular to this hazardous condition. This is the corner of Studewood & Stude just north of the Studewood bridge over WOB, motorcycles or bicycles turning onto Stude from Studewood would be traveling at a higher speed and could lose control in the now mostly loose gravel street. I think it's apparent the problem and lack of warning. When does PWE anticipate completing the restoration of this intersection? It's been a almost two weeks since I first noticed it and no evidence of work has been done to complete it. I believe this "repair" started during the flooding of the Memorial day weekend and understand priorities may have superseded this project but it does not excuse the lack of warning. PWE just needs to finish this repair period.

I'm astounded at the comparisons that can be made between Houstons PWE dept & say Mexico's 3rd world conditions in relation to the lack of quality put into street repairs or in this case warning of unsafe conditions.
Please feel free to contact concerning this at 281 787-7802

Unsafe side walk crossing over Union Pacific RR crossing.
Earlier this year the RR operator commenced some sort of repair or maintenance to part of the track crossing at the 200 block of T C Jester & Allen St. They removed the concrete "pontoons" now laying in the grass to the north on their property that previously served as a sidewalk crossing and never completed the repair or more importantly restored the side walk crossing that had been there on the southbound side. A pile of asphalt was left blocking the sidewalk forcing pedestrians, wheel chair bound individuals or cyclists into the street to get around the crossing arm. Basically, it is impassible and unsafe condition.
Additionally, there is no ADA wheelchair cutouts on either end of this terribly cracked "sidewalk" that I'd say is mostly impassible for a wheelchair.
The owner or operator of this crossing simply needs to fix this public safety hazard and restore the right of way over this crossing to a proper safe and usable condition for all users.
The northbound sidewalk crossing on T C Jester is not much better either.

Where are the City inspectors on this?
I've seen better and safer RR crossings in 3rd world countries, the problem here is apparent and is impressive that it's been allowed to exist and not be corrected well before now.

If the City can not get the RR operator to correct his unsafe condition themselves, the City then needs to notify the Federal authority responsible for enforcement of safety conditions and continue to follow up till its completed satisfactorily.
