I've reported this pothole before. If its the one I'm thinking of its actually a water shutoff that leaks. The leaking water froze and busted the road apart this winter. It also made a nice little ice patch right at the intersection. It doesn't leak all the time, but more often than not there is a little water coming from this pothole and running down goffe st. Please fix!
This is more than a normal pothole. Water has been flowing out of this spot in the road for many years, year-round. Even after the road was last paved, the water returned and a pothole gradually returned. Perhaps a more thorough fix can be found rather than just filling in the hole?
Patch is not level with the surrounding road. And the underlying problem wasn't fixed. There was water seeping up through the patch yesterday afternoon. I understand that DPW and RWA are 2 separate entities, but throwing a few shovel fulls of cold patch on an obvious water leak seems like a waist of money. Perhaps DPW could coordinate with the RWA to fix this properly? Maybe I'm naive but I think a phone call coming from the city would get a faster response from the RWA than a call from a citizen.
We are closing your specific issue since it was resolved. We have also assigned the location for future work and wanted you to know. Thanks for reporting.
For the future repair crew - It appears that it leaks in the days following a rain and not when its dry - could be hillside related water issue that only nature can fix ?? Thank you for following up issue !

I agree its still an active problem. Water has caused the patch to dissolve as of last night- this issue needs a permanent repair.
Verified Official can you please re-categorize this issue to the proper powers that be?
