I get my haircut here. The owner has gone far above and beyond to ensure everyone’s safety. Masks are worn, waiting is to be done outside until the haircut appointment, and much more.
I can second. Got my daughter’s hair cut here last week, and everyone wore a mask the whole time, sanitized, kept space. The owner has gone to great lengths to keep clientele, staff, and community safe,
We are clients here as well as neighbors on Nicoll. The staff and owners have gone above and beyond to adhere to safety protocols. My family and I walk by multiple times per day and every time, masks are worn inside at all times. I also know that the owners have spent a lot of money installing barriers between chairs, masks for everyone, disinfectant, etc.
My husband and I are also clients, and the original report is entirely contrary to our experiences at the salon since they have reopened. Guests must wait outside, temperatures are taken before entry, and everyone must wear a mask. The staff has gone to great lengths to provide a safe environment for all.
To whoever wrote this, I am one of the owners of this salon. We have definitely followed ALL of the guidelines put forth by both the city and state. We have gotten inspected, wear masks, implement social distancing when we can. We do not have a waiting room, take temperature checks, installed barriers between stations even though they are more than 6 feet apart. Should I also mention the hand sanitizing station? We also have contactless payment. We do go outside to take a break from the masks from time to time to get some fresh air. But I assure you we are always maintaining social distancing. Please come and see for yourself.
I am a customer and I live on Nicoll Street and walk past at least 3 times a day. This is the one place I am without a doubt comfortable with in the neighborhood. If you have any concerns, you should address your attention to the bar across the street.
This is the other owner of the salon. This claim is completely false. The safety of both our staff and customers is our highest priority at this time. No mask no entrance!
Also a client and this complaint sounds incorrect to me. When I was there ~2 weeks ago, they had barriers up between stylists, an outdoor waiting "room" (a chair), actively sanitized their hands, asked patrons to sanitize their hands upon entry, had a temperature check upon entry, and everyone was masked; they really care about keeping themselves & patrons safe.
I had my hair cut at this salon less than a week ago. I, too, waited outside, had my temperature taken at the door, sanitized my hands when entering, wore a mask for the entire visit, as did the stylist, was seated at a station that was partitioned with plexiglass, and paid using a contactless payment system. I don't see what more the owners and staff could be doing to protect themselves and their patrons. This complaint rings completely false!
Inspector spoke with the owner, Jenna and went over the guidelines and reinforced the importance of all employees and customers wearing face masks and practicing social distancing. All safe operating procedures already being done.
