Thank you for your request. Potholes referred to the Division are normally repaired within 48 hours. Sinkholes will be referred to the appropriate utility agency for inspection and repair. Please note that potholes cannot be repaired on days with heavy rain because the moisture will prevent asphalt from bonding with the existing pavement.

Thank you for replying. Loose and noisy manholes are different from potholes and pothole asphalt repairs. Is the same agency responsible for both? If not, please refer this LOOSE, NOISY MANHOLE to the right department? It has been loose for three months, and each time a car or truck runs over it (almost every one going down the street) there’s a loud “clank”.

Paul it would depend on the issue surrounding the Manhole. If its just that the Manhole cover is loose like you described then let me make sure its assigned to the right person.

Thanks, i think? Does this mean that the issue is now the responsibility of PSE&G? Should i now contact them and point out that the manhole is still clanking away around 1000 times a day? Please advise. And thanks again.

unfortunately the JCMUA can not touch another utility companies infrastucture or this matter would have been addressed. i contacted Craig from PSEG again today by email and informed him about the manhole. I am waiting for a response
