Description

This area is adjacent to the R5 R-line stop. Property owner should clean up this mess, that attracts vermin and is visible by both bus riders and pedestrians.

The property owner is Moshakos Glenwood, LLC, who has owned the property since 2008, with plans to develop a Carolina Ale House restaurant. As the project has been stalled, the property has been left to deteriorate into this terrible condition.

The location is the north side of Tucker Street, just east of Glenwood Avenue, between the R-Line stop (R5) and the entrance to the public parking deck. As shown in the photo, you'll see the trashy lot just inside a metal fence.

Housing & Environmental Inspections has responded. The inspector investigated and initiated a public nuisance case on 6/11/2013 with a deadline of 6/21/2013. Actual address is 500 Glenwood Ave. Thank you.

Owner has complied, including removing a significant amount of overgrown and dead vegetation that was of most concern. Some trash is still evident, but hard to control in this area.
