Description
Homeless people are trespassing at the chapel foyer at Fair Haven Union Cemetery. They are bringing in mattresses, dedicating and littering in the cemetery. Last week the chapel was broken into. There has always been activity of this nature, but the people are new, men and women, and more aggressive.

Mr. Hunter,
There has been an increase in homeless people sleeping throughout New Haven. Many of us used to sleep on the benches on the New Haven Green; however, since about 6 weeks ago, the NHPD has been kicking us off the Green every night with threats of getting tickets for trespassing (I've already received one citation).
When we leave the Green, we don't just disappear into thin air. We have to go somewhere and we don't wish to sleep on residential private property.
I am quite surprised to see this issue reported by you. You're the CEO of the Mary Wade Nursing Home. You are certified as a Connecticut Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. You are also a recipient of the LeadingAge Connecticut’s Humanitarian Award.
Somehow, this reported issue doesn't appear to reflect anything about humanitarianism.
I'll be sure my parents and their friends DO NOT try to find salvation in any facility sponsored by you or any of your associates.
