Description
This house is for sale, but needs demolition instead. Transients and drug dealers have broken into it repeatedly, and the owners are unable to keep them out. Windows are broken and covered with duct tape, security grills have been bypasses and are hanging free, The property, along with the two adjacent 3 unit apartment buildings is attracting every bad element there is. Please alert zoning and nuisance abatement about this building. lately we hear gunshots in the middle of the night, there have been fires in the middle of the street, drug deals are being done openly day and night and the police, tho informed of everything, have done nothing for the past year. HELP!

I've just reported this to Joe Martinez, CABQ Safe City Strike Force and to Commander Cmdr. Geier, SE Command . Maybe we can get this house scraped flat before Zoning Enforcement even acknowledges there is a problem.

Skip,
That's why I gave you the e-mail addresses, so that you might ride herd on these issues on behalf of your n'hood. The squeakiest wheel gets the most grease from the City Finance Committee and that's where this is decided in the end. Your n'hood's association has not been proactive on this front since 2006. It seems time for those of you in Trumbull who wish something positive to be done in your n'hood to get organized and take over the existing n'hood association or create a new one. Contact Stephani Winklepleck, Office of Neighborhood Coordination: 505-924-3902 or for more info on how to do this.

I always wondered why somebody doesn't do something about that. Then I realized I was somebody.

What's LMCIA?
Charlie, LMCIA (Guest)
LMCIA is La Mesa Community Improvement Assoc.; the n'hood association north of Central to Lomas, then Louisiana to Wyoming. We're the bunch that kept CVS from selling liquor at Central & Louisiana. More work to do.
