Description

The bronze in the statue to Jefferson Davis is corroded and is oxidizing. So are the statues to Matthew Fontaine Maury and J.E.B. Stuart on Monument Avenue. They are all made of bronze and are under the care of the City of Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities. They need treatment and repair. Maintenance and hot wax treatments should ideally be done every 12 months.
