Description
Is it possible to add a strong delineator on the bike lane to prevent motorists from driving on it? I was cycling on Pacific when a motorist turned right from Communipaw into the bike lane and drove along the bike lane to double park in front of Puchu's. v

I am reassigning this to one of our transportation planners (most of who cycle to work!) so that we can look at this as a safety issue, but also make sure these issues are addressed for all current bicycle lanes and future ones.
We all work in the Department of Infrastructure. You are not being rerouted to another Department :)

The engineers and planners are working on this and know about this issue in several locations. We are constantly looking to update the current bicycle lanes and many of our engineers and planners use bicycles as their primary mode of transportation and ride all of these lanes.
We're supposed to be installing delineators along this bike lane, and have been including one in the center at block ends as standard practice now, but we always have more demand for delineators than we can keep up with. It won't stop the most egregious who are willing to run over a delineator, but it should mostly prevent this activity. At least strongly discourage it.

Would you like me to keep this open until we are able to add this extra safety feature? It may be quite some time. Or can I close this knowing it is a priority on our list of bicycle lanes?
This is totally up to you. We are happy either way.
