This street (we live on this block of Waverly in a home) has become crazy busy, a stop sign at the trail would help greatly! Also, more speed bumps please as our street has turned into a raceway 😩

The MKT development is great but there are thousands of people who live, work and visit there only have 3 exits out of the development and 2 of them cross the bike path. We desperately need the new Stop for Pedestrian SIgns here like were installed at the Shepherd feeder and work for the most part.

Please consider 2 hard stop signs at the trail for each direction on Waverly (not just a stop in case of pedestrians) would be best with all the traffic on our street now.

Observations:

An investigation was conducted on 1-22-24 at 2:00PM regarding a sign needed at 700 Waverly St (North/South). I tried contacting requestor Emmanuel on 1-22-24 but he failed to answer therefore I left a voice-mail. Comments stated that " 1000s of people use the hike and bike trail and there needs to be a stop sign here for vehicular traffic." During my investigation I did not notice any pedestrians or bike riders crossing the bike trail however I did see that they have two East/West bound stop signs for the hike and bike trail. That gives the Right-Of-Way to motorists traveling north/south bound on 700 Waverly St therefore pedestrians and bike riders need to stop till it's safe to cross at hike and bike trail.The city of Houston also does not install Stop Signs mid block only at city of Houston street intersections. No safety or mobility issue was observed no further actions are needed at 700 Waverly St.

So you went when it was a day that it was pouring rain to observe? That is not super helpful to be honest when we talk about a hike/bike trail.

Not the first time this has happened. It's definitely not ok for the city to dismiss this issue on the basis of someone standing there and observing anecdotally for a few minutes to justify closing the ticket. The video speaks for itself.
