Description
The Hillsborough crossing signal is simultaneous with the Meredith left turning green light. Cars leaving Meredith nearly hit me when I cross with the walk signal. There needs to be an adjustment to allow pedestrians a chance to cross.

THIS ISSUE IS NOT FIXED
I used the crossing as I do every morning and there is severe risk of pedestrians getting run over by cars and trucks - A UPS Truck was speeding at me recently.
The issue is when crossing Hillsborough Street from Royal Mall to Meredith (walking North) on foot. The green light for cars and trucks exiting Meredith is simultaneous with the walk signal walking north as above described.
The problem is that cars exiting Meredith and turn left on Hillsborough Eastbound (toward Gorman St.) are on a collision course for pedestrians crossing Northbound.
About once per month these cars come speeding out at high acceleration and expect a clear road - sometimes they aren't even watching the road ahead of them
