Description
Mandela Parkway should be a fantastic road to bike down, with it's bicycle lanes, Unfortunately the customers of Cypress Grocery seem to think that the bicycle lane is a parking lot. This needs to be fixed, people need tickets and to be towed, and there need to be clearer signs that this is illegal and will not be tolerated. Why bother spending millions building bike lanes if the police aren't going to enforce them?
The Cypress grocery store needs to be fined every time somebody blocks this, so that they get the message that the bike lane is not a parking lot.

After reading this I spoke to a police officer yesterday who was sitting right there, blocking the bicycle lane. I asked him why he thought it was appropriate, he told me to mind my own business. I asked why he wasn't ticketing these people endangering my life, to which he responded, "These people are patrons of the grocery store and there's no parking". I watched a drug deal go down while he sat there filling paperwork, blocking the bicycle lane.
Thank you for considering the rights and safety of bicyclists, OPD. Good job!
