There was a car accident here on October 8th, 2018. It killed a very happy and young woman who was beginning her dreams. Yet due.to UDOT's irresponsible road construction signage and a lack of a guardrail and lights, she had to dodge a construction truck in the dark and crashed into the pit. UDOT, you have blood in your hands. Be ashamed.

Anytime there is an accident or incident which results in injury or loss of life it is regrettable.
The incident which occurred on October 8th took place on New Bingham Highway was not a UDOT Project. It was a West Jordan City project which happened to take place on a state road. As such, UDOT crews were not involved in the project or the placement of signage.
The safety of our traveling public, as well as our workers is UDOT's top priority. It is with deep sorrow that we extend our most sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the young woman involved in this incident.
